What happens if I have a Break in Service?

If you earn less than 501 Hours of Service in a calendar year, you will have a Break Year.  A “Break in Service” occurs when you have at least five Break Years in a row before any part of your pension is vested. If you have a Break in Service, all your prior Years of Vesting Service and Years of Benefit Service will be cancelled. Once you are Vested, you will not lose your right to a pension from the Plan.
