Disability retirement benefits.

You can receive benefits immediately if you become totally and permanently disabled.  If you leave employment due to disability on or after age 50, you will receive your full retirement benefit.  If you leave employment due to disability prior to age 50, your benefit will be reduced for the extra cost of early commencement.
